Got to love Rodarte.
"As for the title, Cole explains: "It's the title of a Richard Brautigan poem. The poem and the film are about forgotten things—circles and the curve of time." The film follows on from last spring's intergalactic project that Cole shot with Rodarte and comes at an extraordinary moment for the designers, whose dazzling costume contributions to Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan will form part of their upcoming solo exhibit at MoCA."

We All Get Dressed For Bill
Bill Cunningham New York
The "Bill" in question is 80+ New York Times photographer Bill Cunningham. For decades, this Schwinn-riding cultural anthropologist has been obsessively and inventively chronicling fashion trends and high society charity soirées for the Times Style section in his columns "On the Street" and "Evening Hours." Documenting uptown fixtures (Wintour, Tom Wolfe, Brooke Astor, David Rockefeller—who all appear in the film out of their love for Bill), downtown eccentrics and everyone in between, Cunningham's enormous body of work is more reliable than any catwalk as an expression of time, place and individual flair. In turn, Bill Cunningham New York is a delicate, funny and often poignant portrait of a dedicated artist whose only wealth is his own humanity and unassuming grace.
One of the most inspiring fashion profile films. Highly recommended to anyone, in and out the fashion biosphere.

| Can't help to smile. I definitely just found my next purchase. Cast of Vices just launched their bag collections along with their Collection No.4. The leather ‘Corner Store’ shopping bags. They come in 4 different model. I picked this one. Go pick yours and have a nice day! :) |
He said...
"In terms of creation, I have never thought of suiting any system or abiding by any rules, either a long time ago or right now. In this respect I have remained free."
Rei Kawakubo, 2010
If you're going to do it...
... do it all the way.
I'll take this as D&G's quote for their f/w 2011 collection.

And as soon as they decided to play with letters nothing could stop them from doing that. And here we are with that funny and youthful Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012collection ( Milan Fashion Week), covered with letters all over. Separate and unrelated letters, combined in words and even sensible and often amusing phrases.
...and so on.
No more Galliano at Dior????
Im shocked with the new that John Galliano, who has been the head designer for the Dior house since 1996, has been suspended from his position.
What would happened!? Am I next?????

26. FANTASY
If you haven't see it yet!! ATTENTION!
Visionaire is a multi-format album of fashion and art produced in exclusive numbered limited editions.
Fantasy (no. 26) one of the top issues is a must see and have.
"Fantasy is the subtext of every issue of Visionaire, but with this issue we pushed the boundaries to the fantastical. A round box housed round, unbound artwork. Each of the cover elements-photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin-was produced exclusively for FANTASY: The dress was designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga, Viktor & Rolf made the banner, and Jeremy Scott created the gold porcelain doll's head and hands. It was the first issue time we published Tim Burton, Gregory Crewdson, and Marcus Piggott and Mert Alas and there was a special section curated by Isabella Blow featuring, among others, David LaChapelle, Mariko Mori, and Tim Noble and Sue Webster. Each issue included an Hermes mask that many wore to the masquerade ball launch party." Limited Edition of 6000 numbered copies.
PS. I have few Issues left at a %50 percent less than the original value.

Fashion against AIDS
Did you notice anything in the H&M holiday campaign ????
mmmm... no?
Take a look:
This year, H&M is going against AIDS.
The Fashion Against AIDS mvmt (FAA) collection comes with a new twist.
FAA is a campaign designed to raise both funds and awareness, which has so far donated over 41 million Swedish Krona for Designers Against AIDS (DAA) and various other international HIV/AIDS projects. Because the HIV/AIDS message is as important for young women as much as it is for young men, the sporty unisex collection is for everyone to wear in their own way. The collection is available in H&M's Divided department from April 26 and 25% of sales will be donated to youth HIV/AIDS projects around the world.
Thumbs up!
oh Fall!
Sensible and Spirited are the words that best describe the Pantone color report for fall.
It seems that in fashion the present issue has always been the future.
The Pantone Fashion Color Report for Fall 2011 have feature the top 10 colors for women's
fashion for fall 2011, along with designer sketches, quotes and headshots. Which coincided with the beginning of the Fashion Week in New York, few days ago. This season's report also includes the most directional hues for men's fall 2011 fashion.
"Taking cues from the great masters, sepia tones of old Hollywood, Chinese opera, cityscapes and countryside, designers are paying close attention to texture, contrast and color for fall 2011 - pairing menswear with feminine twists, warm prints with cool metals, incorporating both old and new influences, and creating an intriguing balance between colors."

... unfortunately they only sell jeans.
Spring/Summer 2010 campaign – Sex Sells … Unfortunately We Sell Jeans.
The campaign has been shot in a familiar style, that we often see in American Apparel campaigns and also Terry Richardson shoots.
