A SHADED VIEW OF FASHION FILM

PLEASE TAKE ME TO PARIS!!

A SHADED VIEW ON FASHION FILM 2010 is  the third edition of the first annual international film festival dedicated to Fashion, Style and Beauty.
The ASVOFF shakes up the old rules of fashion by putting the focus on the moving image, in an industry long dominated by the “still” photographic medium.

A matter of Color

Pretty interesting

I would work for shoes. But eat them??? UMMM

Stiletto shoes and handbags out of finest Belgian chocolate. Even though the style of the shoes are very retro (would be great to see some Balenciaga or Louboutin), I’m sure they are pretty tasty… I don't I could eat them. For sure, I'd try to fit them!!

The VMA'S. Worst  video music awards  ever??
Somebody told me that " every "big" production is a reflection  of how the world is doing. What's general people liking. If I'm right, I'm worry about our destination "
Personally, I don't really think so.  Honestly I didn't watch them last year, neither this one, after the red carpet. I couldn't care less. MTV is not made to be understand.  You just like it or not.
But!! The real topic is: the meat!
The meat dress of the "queen of the year" miss gaga.
Since she started the conceptual styling I started liking her a little more.
Like the constellation, to the Grammy's last year.
But, Gaga, for real? Meat?
As a designer, amazed me the fact that they really could worked out. I mean, by the garment part.
As a person, I could say that's not avant-garde.  It's sort of  a lack of sensibility about hunger; and many few more world's  issues.
Im sure those issues are   too far away from the celebrities  awesome world, but, at the end of the day, is still the same.
There are  people dying for hunger.
Should just  we say: Let them eat cake?

Goodbye Summer

Monsters. INC

In collaboration with Nick Cave, at the Vogue september issue. 8 fabulous pages full of color and fur. Just amazing.

Factory Girl

This is the thing. Like I said before, I'm amazed with all the Andy Warhol's work. I mean, I went to art school, so OBVIOUSLY, i knew him, since the very first day of my, now endless, interest on art.
But, seeing the real canvas, like the diamond dust with the amazing 3d effect, was just way too far than what you may can appreciate in books, or online, or by any random video.

So I kept the Andy Warhol mood. And watched that movie I heard about time ago : Factory Girl.
All I can say is :
-Number 1. I'm like crazy about all the movies based on real incidences. Biographies. Its amazing to see how a single person somehow changed  the world we live today on. And how we can relate it  to many things we see today. And, perhaps, who suddenly it helps us understand many things, that before seemed  just meaningless.
-Number 2. I gave me a brand new list of "incidences" to google about, to videos to watch, to movies to see, few books to read... thats just what a good movie should do. Just amazing.

By the way, I found this video. Feel like sharing it.

Andy Warhol: The Last Decade

"Andy Warhol: The Last Decade is the first U.S. museum survey to examine the late work of American artist Andy Warhol (1928–1987). Encompassing nearly fifty works, the exhibition reveals the artist’s vitality, energy, and renewed spirit of experimentation. During this time Warhol produced more works, in a considerable number of series and on a vastly larger scale, than at any other point in his forty-year career. It was a decade of great artistic development for him, during which a dramatic transformation of his style took place alongside the introduction of new techniques. "

I wish this was an invitation, but if you didn't get it somewhere else before, you just missed it. And you should regrets about it because today was your last chance.
But at least, I took this last chance for me and for you. It really worth it!!
Andy Warhol: The last Decade @ Brooklyn Museum was just amazing.  The abstract painting, the urine canvas and the diamond dust just gave you a breath away right in the moment you walk onto every room.
